Gorey is a market town in north County Wexford, about 90 km south of Dublin, one of the fastest-growing towns in the region as a commuter and coastal base, with a population of around 11,000 at the 2022 Census. Laid out as a planned town in the early 17th century, it has a broad Main Street and lies close to the beaches of Courtown. The rebel camp on Gorey Hill features in the history of the 1798 Rebellion.
